An amusingly insightful funnyshopped Bellini: to emphasize that Donna has not one, but two mirrors, the master should have painted her with the two heads, too!
I wonder how much better the world would be if this would have actually happened. I mean, if such a painting would be indeed conceived, and created – in the 16th century, that is. And if it would be received well by the patrons and the public alike, and would eventually become the “classics.”
If children would be taught at schools with such examples of art, explaining the difference between ‘true life’ and ‘art reality’. Oh, well.
PS: If I’d be commissioning a remake from the Chinese masters, I would ask them to paint two elbows, too.
